Mrs. Elesi Lewasa, affectionately known as “Tai Lesi” (Grandma Lesi), is the Chief Woman of Natunuku Village in Fiji. Born in 1951, she has been a pillar of faith since her baptism at age 19. Despite enduring great hardship—including the loss of her husband and the destruction of her home during Cyclone Winston in 2015—her devotion to the Lord has remained steadfast.
Today, Tai Lesi serves as a spiritual anchor within the Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, where much of her family has come to faith through her influence. Her home, which she named “Florida” in honor of visiting mission teams, has long been a place of prayer, encouragement, and connection with God.

While Tai Lesi continues to lead with strength and faith, she now faces serious physical and living challenges. This summer, our mission is to restore her home in a way that provides dignity, safety, and accessibility.
Project Goals:

Mobility & Accessibility: Modify flooring and doorways to accommodate wheelchair access, as she is currently unable to walk.

Upgrading Power: Activate a reliable electrical supply to improve safety and visibility in her home.

Shower Installation: Seating area and hand-held shower

Wheelchair - Hoping for local donation from a hospital or donations to cover costs.

Functional Living Space: Install accessible fixtures, including a sink and countertop, to allow for independent daily living.
